I thought this fan was ok, not great. The price is a bit high for what you get. It could be less than $100.00. The noise was more than I had expected, but it isn't as bad as a regular fan.

This unit has been in continuous use for 7 months (7/24). It does a great job of equalizing the temperatures between the 1st and 2nd floors of our house. It is cool looking and quiet. It was off for about one hour for cleaning a month ago. Upon examining the unit during cleaning i observed that it is truly a well build and quality unit. The air equalization works with both A/C and heating. We do have a straight shot up our stairwell to the 2nd floor.

We love these fans

They are far superior to other fans. They really do circulate the air and work better than ceiling fans. They're easy to move around and do a great job with our high-ceilinged rooms.

Best purchase and investment this year!

I have central air in my newer apartment and am a person that usually has a very low heating bill because I am comfortable around 55-60F, so my gas cooking bill and gas heating is the same, but it's the four-five months of hot, humid Summers where it hits my wallet to have it around 68F but did not think the central air vents were efficient in their placement so investigated circulation fans. After doing intense research, went to Bed, Bath and Beyond, where they actually had ALL the models on to actually touch, etc. Needed 100 foot power and loved the design of the 660 Circulator. Took a bit of playing with angles and positioning in large living room and was so impressed, purchased another 660 for my large bedroom as well. I can attest this is no ordinary fan and thermostat raised now to 74, yet apartment staying 68 all over, with the central air turning off more often, saving energy and me very comfy!! I have them at angles pointing up towards corner where ceiling and wall meet with fan a few feet in front of central air ducts and never thought I'd be so impressed by a fan in this life and great custumer support and a five year warranty is almost unheard of by an American or otherwise Co. these days. It's built solid and very easy to clean.

This is the best Vornado fan I have ever owned!

I will get to the review of this fan but first, I want to give you some background on my experience with Vornado fans. I am 66 years old and I can remember using Vornado fans in my parents house as far back as when I was about 8 or 10. They were the only fans that my parents would buy. Back then very few people owned air conditioners because of the cost and we were no exception. While I was growing up we had 4 Vornado fans in our house and they were used every day and and they ran all day long. During my childhood, I cannot remember any Vornado fan failing to work. So now I have carried on the tradition so to speak and have only used Vornado fans. Yes, I now have central air but I use these fans in my shop, garage, family room, bedroom etc. So much for the History lesson now for the review. Without a doubt, this is the best Vornado I have ever owned. Not only is the styling and quality first class but this fan is whisper quiet yet still moves a ton of air. I use this fan in my bedroom and it runs all night long while I am sleeping and it runs every night. Since I only use the low speed, I cannot hear the fan no matter how I try, yet I can feel the air moving in the whole room and our bedroom is 15 x 15ft. No, the old fan did not die even though it is has been used every night for almost 20 years. My daughter now has it and uses it in her plant hot house to keep help even out the temperature. To sum everything up, I am very pleased with both the looks and the performance of this fan and I am sure that it will outlast me.

I now have 4 of their fans - but the this fan maybe the best one yet - on low it's very quiet but if you want more air it will blow you away!
My oldest fan is 9 years and still running - we live where it does get hot in the summer - but we can keep our air at a higher temp because of the fans

My fourth purchase of a Vornado. I love them.

In the summer I use the vornado 24/7. It really helps keep you cool without blowing everything in the room around. I have a smaller Vornado that I use at my computer in another room and bought one for my mom to use in her bedroom. She is 94 and loves it. The very first Vornado I purchased was used until it wore out. Had to replace it right away. The fan would slow down for long periods of time and then start up again. I had used it 24/7 for several summers and it made me sick when it gave out. But the remaining three that I purchased are going strong and are wonderful.

we have several of your fans and love them. i could not stand the summer heat without them. even though we have central air, we have your fans running constantly to better circulate the air and improve the comfort of our home. keep up the good work! they are a great value for the money!

Awesome product with a beautiful look!

I purchased this for my grandparents because they wanted a new fan for their living room. I convinced them that Vornado was only option out there when it comes to circulators because they are definitely top of the line without the top of the line price. We got this circulator in earlier this summer and what a difference it makes. The circulator is virtually silent and has multiple speeds to choose from. We absolutely love it and they agreed there is nothing better than Vornado. The fan itself in in a beautiful piano black finish with a polished chrome slide to adjust the angle of the fan.
