great features -- ZERO durability

love the design, especially the soft blades -- however, if Zippi happens to fall onto hard surface, even from height of 6 inches, OR onto soft surface (padded carpet) from greater height, it WILL STOP WORKING!!
gone thru 5 of these little guys & every time, it ends the same -- my little cat bumps against Zippi which drops onto floor -- i pick it up & NOTHING WORKS!!
went so far as to take Zippi apart after it stopped working & could not discern any broken connections or other obvious mechanical issues -- plastic case was intact with NO cracks, scratches, etc.
chatted with CSR who explained that Zippi would need extra cushioning to absorb such an impact -- but that is precluded by its design
sounds like poor quality to me
buy/use at your own risk -- and, for god's sake, don't BUMP IT!!!!

This fan is a great travel fan and I have 3 of these fans. One is green and it's used as a travel fan. The other is blue and is used at my desk. And the last Is orange and it is used by my bedside. This is a great fan

barely blows air

I often have to spin the blades to get the thing started and unless it is 1 foot from your face you won't feel much of a breeze with this, what amounts to is, a wasted of money. DON'T BEY THIS!

I was skeptical that this little fan could put out so much , but it does. It works perfect on my desk at work. The sound is very low and most of the time I don't even notice it. I have had no problems with the base as some others have noted. I really like this fan! Welcome to my Vornado family, Zippi

Good Airflow and Quiet,Perfect for Home and Office

I have one at home by the bed to circulate air at night.
I have another one at the office to keep air circulating in my cubicle. It is quiet enough to not disturb my peers, yet powerful enough to provide constant air circulation and safe with the fabric blades. The Zippi is so quiet, people entering my cubicle don't even know it's there until they feel the breeze...and then they are entertained by is power, color and safety fabric blades. After 3 plus years of constant use, who knew my office fan would continue to startle unsuspecting visitors! ;o)

The Zippi is a conversation starter. Most of all I like it because it's so small and mighty for its size. It sits on my desk at work, and now it will sit on my sister's desk too because I bought her one as a gift.

I love the Zippi. It doesn't take up much space on my desk top, but it provides the perfect amount of moving air. It's not noisy like a lot of fans and I love the cloth blades. It's also cute when it's not moving.

Your happiness with this product depends on your expectations. Bottom line is that the fan is solid, safe, hip looking, and quiet...it just does NOT produce much air current. It HAS to be situated within a foot of your face to feel anything. Further than a foot...and its more of a "idea" of a breeze than an actual fan.

This is one of the greatest items I have ever bought. As one who does not typically write reviews, my Zippi is a life saver. As a woman "of a certain age", finding a comfortable way to stay cool at night has been a bit of a challenge. But with Zippi on my bedside table, it keeps me cool all night and I am sleeping better than I have in a few years. Plus it's cute. And I like it's name. All for $20.!!!!

Plugged it in and ran it when I first got it. Did not blow very hard but worked fine for what it is. Plugged it in at my desk yesterday and when I came back from lunch it was dead. Very dissappointed.

Perfect quiet fan for the desk

I'm a big fan of this little fan! I got my Zippi for my home office, where I wanted to avoid adding more background noise. It's perfect -- blows just the right amount of air on the low setting, and is very quiet. In fact, I occasionally forget it's on and don't notice until the next morning. Despite that, I've had mine for over a year and it still runs and looks great!

I have four of these fans in my house now. I originally bought 2 because they would not hurt my cats if they tried to play with them, which they did. Then I just was amazed at how much air they circulate for being so small. I just bought more for myself and my friend, and also like the earlier design better for the bottom. The knobs on the bottom now make them more unstable and less attractive. I too wish the company would go back to the original design. Also love all the colors. They are practical and fun.

As you discovered, the soft cloth blades of our Zippi fans are very pet and child friendly. A YouTube search for "Cat + Zippi" will yield some amusing footage of the zippi in action!

good little fan, with one design flaw

I have 3 of these, for my office desk, my home desk, and a bathroom. It's very quiet and moves the air pretty well for its size. The first ones I got had rubber coating all along the base, which made the fan stable. The newer models, as pictured, have little rubber knobs along the base. It's a terrible design, and makes the fan much less stable on surfaces. It's really a bummer, and makes me less inclined to buy any more of them. Please return to the old design! Thanks.

I have purchased many of these small fans over the years to use at home & work. Great air flow. Safe for pets and children due to cloth blades. I have hung it on a wall even. Nice colors to choose from. Great for small spaces. Have been happier with this fan than any other purchased over the years. Even take it when traveling. Recommend it. Company is nice to deal with too!

I recently bought one for my kitchen after "feeling" it run at a store. I thought, "there is some power in that little fan". I love it and now I have just ordered a spare for us at home and 4 for gifts. Everyone remarks about it when they visit. I love it and think now I may take it when we travel. I bought this in Black for my niece Gabbie. As a good deed in cleaning her room,keeping her grades up. She did both. It came in her name as of 2010. All I heard was It won't hurt my fingers. To my surprise it gave off such a breeze for a little fan. I didn't want it to leave the house. So I bought another one for her sister Reyna . Her favorite color was red. They plugged them in at the same time just to see who's ran the fastest,more cold air,etc... They were a tie. But such a good deal for kids who know how to be responsible around fans... It's not a toy it's a Vorando...
