This is a pretty awesome air circulator. I have just gotten hooked on the vornado series as a whole. I have a 630B in my bedroom that used to be in the living room. It had always done a decent job but I saw on the Vornado site that the 715 is a whole room circulator not just a mid size. When I received this thing I did not realize how massive it was. It is closer to being on par to the size of the Vornado shop fan than one of the midsize models. Now for a review of the fans.
Positives: Fairly easy assembly and fairly easy to clean the blades plus it starts off with a 10 yr warranty not too shabby. The base is a nice solid metal and the rest of the fan though plastic seems to be made of sturdier stuff than the normal vornado series. It comes with 5 speeds ranging from white noise at the lowest to a tornado at the highest level. Even at the lowest speed it pushes a large volume of air and pretty fast. I really don't see why you would need this thing over speed 3 since speed 3 seems to move more than enough air but I am sure I will be glad for speed 4 & 5 come summer. Pretty good range of motion it can go pretty much any direction and the power cord is solid.
Negatives: A short list but still it has negatives all the same. If you want quiet or expect whisper quiet this is not your fan you will know this thing is on from speed 1-5. I don't think that will be a problem for most people since most people want this to move air not be quiet. Attaching the fan to the base gives me a little hesitation, I worried the plastic would break due to the tight connection you have to make between the metal base and plastic fan to keep the fan stable. The last thing is size this fan is a monster so make sure you have a decent set up for it. Either make sure to have ample floor space or a large end table to fit this thing on.
So long story short if you want a powerful fan to keep you cool and don't mind the tremendous amount of noise this is your fan. If you are looking for something quiet for a compact area then look for something smaller. Also make sure you need an air circulator and not a fan. This circulator does not blow the air onto you but moves the air around the entire room.

Everything about the 715 Air Circulator is impressive. It is adjustable with its five speeds. It can be directed however you want. Right now I am using it pointed to the ceiling to force warm air downward. The price was the very reasonable, too.

the fan does deliver good amount of air but the balance of the fan leaves definately can be improved significantly. When the fan's rotating in relatively low speed the fan shakes and the when it's on high speed the noise is larger than my other vornado products. I think it may have to do with QC or it's just not supposed to be a quiet fan.
