We read all about this product and test results from Good Housekeeping Magazine. Based on the test results ,we purchased one for my mother and she is so pleased with the product !!!!!
It's important to note that we had purchased other notable and highly recommended Brands, but this product delivered "warm" results.... we are so pleased to have my mother comfortable and warm...

A product that does the job

We purchased this to heat an exposed, 8 x 10 sunroom where we eat our breakfasts and lunches--the room is not heated otherwise so we needed something to warm it fast. Had an Eden Pure that wouldn't do the job. This vornado warms it quickly and evenly. I'd highly recommend this product.

We have three of these room heaters and the last one started making a knocking noise right after we got it. We live in TX so didn't have to use it much and packed it up in the Spring. When we pulled it out for the winter I realized it was still broken and we never sent it back as intended. I found out it was still under warranty and sent it back for repair. Vornado paid for shipping both ways, repaired and sent it back with a lifetime membership 20% discount! Not only is this product made in the USA, the customer service is the best I've experienced in years.

I searched the internet for a heater that stayed cool to the touch and decided to get this one. I LOVE IT! Keeps the room warm & NEVER is even warm to touch. I have no worries at all about my 18mo old being in the room with it. Plan to get more for other rooms in the house.

This little guy is an incredible whole room heater. We use it in our baby's room at night to make him more comfortable since he doesn't sleep with a blanket. The heater sits in the corner and it seems that the temperature of the room is exactly the same no matter where you are standing. It warms up the entire bedroom easily and keeps a consistent temp with the "auto" function. HIGHLY recommended!!

When my furnace died last year and couldn't be fixed for over a week I went out and bought myself a VH2. Now, I never had heard of it, but it was priced right and I was in a fix.
What a great product!!! I left it on overnight the first night and I'm not kidding you when I tell you that that little heater actually warmed up my huge family room and kitchen attached. It was as if the furnace was working in those two rooms. I was shocked.
Then when I got my electric bill having had it on for such a long period, I was surprised at how low it was.
Plan to buy them as Christmas presents for my poor friends who have oil heat!!! They will need a true booster.

Continuing problems with switches and thermostats

I bought three VH-2 heaters for my employees and later two more. The heaters get extensive use during upstate NY winters. After two years we returned two of the heaters for repairs (under warranty). Another was out of warranty, and we judged it not worth the cost to send it back for factory repair. Now another one has broken down. The problems appear to be in the the thermostat and the power switch. The power switch is frozen in the "on" position, so the device needs to be unplugged to turn it off. In addition, the thermostat no longer regulates to a heating temperature, and mostly it blows cool air. The company needs to focus on the quality of its switch devices.

I purchased this heater about six years ago. It really did put out the heat, and kept my 15x16 bedroom nice and warm, but it blew a fuse twice, I moved it from my bedroom to the 12x14 tv room. For several years it worked fine, however this year when I cut it on, it starts blowing out hot air, and within five minutes the air is blowing cold. It eventually warms the room, but not a comfortable level. I am not sure what the problem is, but I am retiring this heater. I recently purchased a tvh600 vornadon but have not the chance to use it,

This product is well worth the investment

I have 2 of the Amish mantle heaters. They are big, expensive and hard to move around. They heat OK but they are so bulky. We recently bought a Vornado VH2. We have the vaulted ceilings in our home and also have passive solar. When the sun is out during the winter the home is toasty until about 8PM. This vornado is a great buy. It heats our room up fast and keeps it warm. The nice thing is that I have not had to have it running on high constantly. With the Amish mantle heaters you do need to run them on high. Our weather in Montanta has been below zero - around 25 below for several days. The vornado did a good job. I am going to buy another one. The VH2 is fine for us. It is not digital and that is more than fine with us. One less thing to go wrong.

One Great Heater

You can buy a cheaper heater, but you get what you pay for, and you can't buy a better heater, than the Vornado.
We have heated our house for the last five years, with nothing but the Vornado heaters. The heating bill is less than half, what it was.
I like a cool bedroom, so I shut off the heat and used a Vornado heater. It did a great job. Then the main heater broke down, so I bought more Vornado heaters and they did such a good job, at a lower cost, that I never did get the furnace repaired.
I would recommend the Vornado to anyone.

This heater was a big disappointment.

I have been trying to use this heater out in my sun room which has been converted to a workroom. It is the only heat in that room. I am running the heater at high heat and fan 24/7. There is only a nice gentle lukewarm breeze coming out of it. I cannot get the temperature in the room any higher than 40 degrees. I will have to look for a heater that I can use.

We have had this thing in our bedroom for 2 years and it is the absolute best investment we have ever made, no joke! We turn our heater down in the rest of the house every night in the winter and it keeps our room very comfortable and if we wanted it to, this thing could make us sweat bullets! Its that good! We have recommended it to everyone and anyone we know because it has saved us a TON on our bills in the winter time here in Kansas. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!

Great whole room heater!

We received this heater as a Christmas gift a year ago, and it's been great! First, if you're looking for a heater to sit at your feet to get you warm, this is not the one for you. This heater is designed to heat a room and does and amazing job at doing so! You wouldn't know it putting a hand in front of it, since the air coming out is around 120 degrees. Other heaters we have owned put out more heat, but you need to be close or on top of it to feel the heat. This heater spreads the heat all around the room with no cold spots. Would definitely recommend this product and actually have a second one on order!

You MUST try these heaters!

I LOVE my Vornado heaters! I have three of them (2 are like these and one is the Intellitemp model). They are used in different rooms of my house, I also bought one for my Mom's drafty old home in Georgia. The South Georgia winters kill me! Colorado winters are a "walk in the park" compared to the Southeast!
A friend came to visit me and loved my heater. She went right out and got one for herself!

the way i found out about vornado heaters we had one at work that looked like a 1960 model and still works so i decided to try it, it was made in the united states i love it, it warms the 600 square foot i am using it for it warms the whole area evenly i have bought two and given them to friends and family i will buy more i highly recommend them. f carroll.

We built onto our old home in the past few years. Our heating system would not sustain the addition and our temps got extremely cold this past winter. I searched the internet for a reasonable space heater for the addition (14x24). This one did it! Actually, it worked so well that we bought 3 more and have stopped using the furnace all together! We went from $400+ heating bill per month, to $190-200 per month. As a matter of fact we run ours on low and set the thermostat between 4-5 and they keep the house at a constant 72-75 degrees in the dead of winter. We HIGHLY suggest this unit.

Functions well and helps circulate and mix the air

We've owned this product for about 2.5 yrs and use it at our camp (1200 sq ft) located in the Northeast USA. It takes the chill off when the nights get cool during the Spring, Summer and Fall.
In the winter, we use this unit to help mix the air and supplement the forced air heating system. We keep the camp at 45 degrees in the dead of winter when we're not there. When we arrive to camp in the Winter (usually 10-20 degrees F outside, we set our heater to 65 degrees and turn on the Vornado in the bottom living area which is about 650 sq ft. The Vornado helps increase the temp raise about 6-8 degrees in that first hour. We then move the Vornado to a table and point it upstairs to start circulating the air up there. At bedtime, we use it upstairs in the hallway pointing towards our bedroom and it keeps us cozy warm all night long.
We are fortunate to have a very well insulated structure as it is only 1.5 years old and the Vornado is a great supplemental heater. We're buying another Vornado and will use that too.

One major weakness on an otherwise great heater

We had a VH2 heater for about 4-5 years, last winter in mild climate SCalifornia the power switch failed. What bugs me is that the heater was used only sporadically in an enclosed patio area during the years it worked. I estimate we used it less than 300 times during those years. The power switch looks like it is too flimsy for long duration use as it is only a fraction of the size of the one on an older Vornado model EH1 - 12 * Type VH we use elsewhere which has a much more robust (size, look and feel) power switch. If there is any one component any electrical device should have that is durable it is the power switch, when that fails all the great attributes and bells and whistles of the device are for nothing. The VH2 was a great heater when it worked but power switches should last much longer.
I do not recommend the Vornado VH2 heater because of the flimsy power switch...get a heater with a robust switch.
